WHAT ARE OUR IMAGING PROGRAMS?
Our imaging programs are built around diagnosing a variety of specific health problems. In our center, we provide the imaging tools you need to maximize the accuracy of your diagnosis for:
Breast imaging:
With cases of breast cancer on the rise, especially in Lebanon, breast imaging takes on more importance than ever before. We utilize the latest advancements in this area, including digital mammography. However, mammography is only part of our program.
At MCC radiology we use digital mammography to detect cancer earlier at its most curable stage.
We offers also dedicated ultrasound with new ELASTOGRAPHY features which helps us differentiating malignal from benign lesions.
When needed biopsies under ultrasound guidance are also performed in our center.
MRI of the breasts is also used for screening in familial cases of breast cancer and in the pre and post op assessment of breast cancer patients.
Screening programs:
For persons with no clinical symptoms and no known problems.
For male:
- Besides blood tests, and physical exams, the paramedical work up includes colonoscopy or virtual colonoscopy, once every 5 years starting at 50 YO.
- Chest Xray or CT chest for all patients above 50 YO if there is no risk factors for other debilitating disease.
For Female:
- Yearly mammography starting at 40 YO if no familial history of breast or ovarian cancer. If there is a personal or familial caes of cancer, call us to assess your risks and recommended screening management.
- Yearly pelvic ultrasound.
For both male and female:
TOTAL BODY CT INCLUDES CT OF THE HEAD, CHEST ABDOMEN AND PELVIS. THIS EXAM TAKES ALMOST 10MN TO BE PREPARED FOR AND ACQUIRED. IT EVALUATE THE BRAIN, LUNGS, PLEURA, LIVER, SPLEEN, PANCREAS, KIDNEYS AND PELVIS.
Vascular imaging:
Blockages in your vascular system can result in a variety of health problems, including stroke and heart attack. Our state-of-the-art vascular imaging programs can catch blockages before they cause health issues.
Using our CT scan with 3D, VR and curved reconstruction it takes you only few minutes for a confident diagnosis in peripheral vascular disease.
Doppler ultrasound is also available for cranial and peripheral vascular axes.
Our MRI offers also the possibility to images vessels without contrast material which is very commode for diabetic patients and for patients with kidney diseases.
Neuroradiology:
A growing subspecialty of medical imaging, neuroradiology is focused on diagnosing injuries or conditions in the brain, spine and central nervous system.
All can be detailed in our state of art MRI, with dedicated exams for MS, Epilepsy, strokes, tumors and pediatric patients…
